Galaxy Edge 6 rebooted

Last night my phone would not power on or off, after several min of holding the buttons it booted back up, back when it did it came back as a new activation phone so everything is gone, brand new phone!!! I'm lucky I have everything backed up but it's a pain redoing all my Apps!! I think there is a software update causing a issue how do I stop this update or get it corrected so this doesn't happen again.?

No I did not, my phone was simply installing your software upgrade and it goes into reboot mode every time and fails to install the new software

That's strange, Cquack01. Definitely shouldn't be happening. Let's try this. with your phone off, try turning on your phone by holding down both Power and Volume Down, simultaneously, until your phone powers on. This should take you to a boot screen. There should be an option to Wipe Cache Partition. Please perform this, and then try running the update again.

This should help clear any issues the update may be running into when attempting to install.
