I recently switched from AT&T service to Verizon cellular service. In my first bill I have been charged with "Montgom. County Line Surcharge $7.00" for each line. Can anyone explain what kind of surcharge is this?
As per Montgomery website:
"Monthly charge assessed on each line within the household. This charge compensates for the Local Telephone Company's cost of installation and maintenance of the components that link your home to the telephone network."
It sounds surcharge more for fixed line phone. I am not sure why it has been charged on my cellular account. I don't use any other verizon service. I called customer support, but I didn't get any convincing reply, instead he asked me to contact Montgomery council.
