mobile hotspt

Can anyone help answer quick question I have a Samsung galaxy 5.... I am wanting to use my mobile hotspot and in the settings it does have an option to turn it on but I can't is this somthing I must pay extra for in order to use or am I not accessing it correctly I really need to get on to the Internet from my lap top but finding it very difficult any suggestions would be appreciated thank you

With the More Everything plans you can share your collective data allotment with other devices, thereby using your hotspot. Sing into My Verizon and you can view your plan details. If you are on a ME plan and still cannot get your hotspot to activate, you may need to call Verizon. Otherwise, perhaps someone else can chime in with another suggestion.
