My Samsung Galaxy S deleted all my text messages. Any ideas if and how I can get them back? I seriously think my phone is possessed. It randomly shuts off and on, makes calls on its own and goes in and out of apps.

Did you have Verizon integrated messages they made be available online  or if you used some other means of backing them up like vcloud which isn't to great for texts. Sms backup+ app is better. Try putting your device in safe mode and check those symptoms. If yes you may need an FDR if not it's an app causing the troubles
