I can no longer access voicemail

Hello,

I have had my LG G2 for over a year with no problems. Yesterday I could no longer access voicemail. I use *86. I now am asked if I want English or Spanish as my default then proceeds to set up an introduction to new users of voicemail ie new password etc. I have been using my 9 digit password for a year and am now told I need a 4-7 character password. I am also told I need to speak my greeting (no way!). At that point I bail out of the process. How do I access my existing voicemail folder? How do I get back to my standard simple voicemail that I had?

This is odd! Let's get your voice mail working the way it should be. Was there anything done differently that cause you not to be able to dial *86? Was visual voice mail installed on your phone? What happens when you try to access the voicemail through http://vz.to/1Mhz2vO .

Hello,

Thanks for getting back to me. To the best of my knowledge I did not

install any changes to voice mail. I am not familiar with visual voice mail

and am not interested in it. My existing voice mail served me well. I

checked out the link you provided. I have never used the icon based

voicemail. When I click it the circle spins and states "setting up

mailboxes... I have waited for up to 2 minutes with no change.

Thank you for taking the step to have this resolved. I want to make sure you are able to access your voice mail ASAP. Are you having any data connection issues? What zip code are you located in? Would you be able to go through the *86 set up and instead of speaking your greeting just use the default greeting? This will allow you to retrieve your voice mails.

I am having no data issues. I am in zip code 55803. I can set up new

voicemail in *86 however there is no option for default greeting.
