Android lollipop uses up all my battery so fast and I'm getting mad that you guys at Verizon can't seem to update it to fix the problems!!!!
Welcome to the club.
I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your battery after your update wlm9700. What phone do you have? Do you notice after using any particular application your battery depletes faster? Do you have any battery saving applications on your phone? Some apps may not be compatible with your new software and may need to either be updated in the google store or removed from the phone. Try removing any problematic apps and making sure your current apps are updated and report back if your phone is working any better.

Please spare us the drivel. We all know the Lollipop upgrade is a piece of crap that has caused major problems for all our phones. Quit treating us like imbecilic children with your patronizing words and spend your time bugging your superiors to provide us the ability to revert back to Kitkat.
I have updated 4 different phones to Lollipop. they all work flawlessly. You're doing something wrong.
Snn5 - bully for you. Based on the feedback online, you are an extreme outlier. Even if the update worked perfectly, I still don't like the changes, and it's MY phone. I should be able to choose what software I install on it. Even Microsoft doesn't force my desk top or notebook computer to change OS's or accept any update, for that matter. They might stop supporting an OS, but they don't push the updates through whether I want them or not.
What phone do you have?
Samsung Galaxy S4. Please don't tell me to do a full factory reset. By all accounts, that does not work for everyone, and I don't want to spend the time and energy necessary to do it. I want Samsung and Verizon to correct and/or undo the problem they created.
Not everyone does it by disabling back up data and restore for apps. They are currently working on v5.1 which will come with it's own set of issues, so you can wait it out and do nothing. Best of luck.
When I first upgraded the lollipop I had major issues on my Galaxy S5. Had to delete a bunch of things off my phone. Finally it started working again. Then this week all the sudden my phone started sucking the battery within hours, said my storage was running out, started calling people while in my pocket, switched my wallpaper etc. So I moved a bunch of apps to the SD card, deleted messages, deleted all my pictures that were on the phone and not the SD card, disabled some apps I don't use, cleared cache. Checked what was running and supposedly using the most data (nothing using a BIG amount). Would love to switch to an iPhone but I still have a year til I can upgrade....grrrrrrrrrr!!
It sounds like you spent a lot of time doing exactly what a Factory Reset would have done. It would have been quicker to back up anything important to your Verizon cloud, disable app data back up and restore, factory reset. Should only take around 2-4 hours to complete, depending on how much you need to back up and meticulous you are with wallpaper/fonts and setting up your phone how you like etc etc.
