I have a Galaxy S5 and was wondering if there is a way I can forward an unopened text?

I have received a text that I don't want to open because there have been hacking issues with people around the area.  I don't want to open it in case it is one of those situations.  I need to forward this message but I don't know if I can do it without opening the text first.

I definitely understand your concern regarding that text message. I can certainly assist you with your inquiry. You can forward the message without viewing the entire message content by pressing down on the message until you get the menu options that advises to open, forward, delete etc. With the forward option selected, a new message will open up and you can enter in the To: address in which you want it to be sent to.

As a general rule, messages that come to a Galaxy device are already considered open but unread if not clicked on to view it in its entirety. So long as you do not click on any links contained within the message, then the message should pose no danger to your particular device. Additionally, it is recommended to delete messages from unknown sender sources or to not attempt to reply to/forward them for security purposes.
