International Plan

I added an international plan to my account last week & arrived in the Bahamas yesterday. I have turned roaming on & selected the local network, but still showing "no service". A couple people traveling with me have AT&T and are able to connect, so I know there is service here. Any advice on what I may be missing?

Can you tell us what phone you have?

After you turned on and connected did you restart your phone? Or turn ON airplane mode for a minute and then turn it off? Or power down and remove the sim card and then reinstall?

I did the first two, but have not tried the SIM card.

iPhone users have said in the past that turning airplane mode on and off doesn't help require the network, so my suggestion is to power down, remove the sim card for a minute and then install. However do try airplane mode first since it's easier than removing the sim, and be careful with the sim while it's out, avoid touching the gold metal bits.

Also make sure when you power back up that roaming capabilities are turned on for cellular and data and that you're set to the global network.

ropermj, Hope you are having a great time in the Bahamas. We definitely want you to have your service working. I would suggest going into Settings then selct Cellular then select Roaming. When you are in Roaming you should have International CDMA on. Please also make sure that Voice and Data Roaming are on.

I have tried all of the above, but still no luck. Not sure what else to do?

Did you have wi-fi turned off when you did all of that?
