z2 tablet no full screen apps or video after update

Question - How to fix this

Caution - Do not do this update.

The newest update has broken my z2 tablet. Now, apps will not open full screen, nor will videos.

Previously, when an app was launched, or a video set to full screen, the status/notification bar and the navigation bar would both auto-hide, requiring a swipe motion from outside the top or bottom edge to re-appear. After completing this current update, neither hide, instead they remain as dark grey bars (will appropriate icons/text present).

I have power cycled my device, as well as completed a factory reset, and neither fixed the situation.

Hmm, that's odd DougSOPKS. Are you able to see the "expand" or full view icon while watching a video? What apps are you using to watch videos?

It's every single app. It doesn't matter if it's Chrome, or the YouTube app, or a random app from the play store. It's as if "immersive mode" has been disabled with this update. Typically, every app opens full screen on this tablet, and you have to swipe up from below the screen to get the navigation buttons. The same would be true for the status bar from the top.

Post update this does not occur. Look at this screenwriter from Chrome:

This is how all apps look for me now. Neither of those bars should be there unless I specifically recall them from a swipe gesture.

Again, that navigation bar should not be there.

Obviously this is a huge problem, as I'm going to be on the fast track to screen burn in with continued use of my tablet as-is.
