droid mini: how to prevent WiFi connect

Having a problem with a new WiFi AP in apartment building. My droid mini is dropping the connection to the WiFi network I want it to contact to in favor of this new network. How do I make phone connect to only the network I want to use?

You've come to the right place for help! Just so I understand correctly, are you trying to set the device so that it only connects to one specific WiFi connection?

Have you tried deleting the other WiFi connections from the phone http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-85423/?

There should be a setting that allows the phone to drop and try to connect to a stronger signal.

We appreciate your feedback. What happens when you try and connect to a different wifi connection? Are you having issues with all wifi connections?

Sounds like the OP wants to connect (and stay connected) to HIS wifi and to STOP trying to connect to a neighbor's wifi.

I've run into this myself - it doesn't help to remove other connections, they just come back again as the device continues to search for connections. If you disable searching will the device just connect to your saved connections then?
