HELP!! Iphone 4s mailbox issue!

I have an iphone 4s that a friend is using. Whenever anyone tries to leave a voice message it says the mailbox is full and cannot accept anymore messages. He has erased all messages but we keep getting the mailbox full message. Is there a way I can fix this remotely. using my iphone 5?

I am sorry to hear of the voicemail issues. We definitely want you friend to be able to access their voicemail. I do apologize as you will not be able to fix this issue from your iPhone 5. Does you friends phone show that visual voicemail is successfully set up? When they try to dial *86 from their phone what happens? What type of phone was previously activated on the line?
