Repair Assistant stops at 25%, Galaxy S5

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5. The problems I’ve had lately are WiFi will not enable and slow running. I have downloaded the Upgrade Assistant to repair the software to see if that will work before I have to do a factory reset.

After downloading the software and installing, I connect the phone, click on Repair Assistant, select the phone, click on Repair and then Backup. After it seems as though it has backed up the phone, I click on Repair. It begins and says Downloading Software. After 25%, the repair ends and reverts back to the Repair button. I am connected to the internet on my Mac.

I have also tried doing this on a PC, and I get to 4% of backup and program comes back with 'Verizon 2.0 SUA for Android has stopped working. Close Program' Every time. I have cleared the cache on the phone by holding the volume up and home button. Still does not work.

I dont know that Id keep going that route. Maybe you need a fresh start. Try this step by step to factory reset.

Factory reset...but a different method of steps.

Plug into charger for the entire process

(DISABLE google backup and restore of apps and app data)

Charge to 100% and back up and factory reset the S5

Factory reset one more time

Unplug from charger

Set up your phone

Leave S5 on until it dies and turns off 1 time

Leave off and recharge to 100%

This is my usual process and I have had no issues. Most report everything returned to its former greatness.
