Single text being sent as multiple texts

My phone (Droid Moto X 2nd gen) has an issue regarding texts sent to at least two people. (Note that this hasn't happened to everyone I text.)

I will send one text (usually over 10 characters but still under the character limit). But a single text is being received as multiple short texts, occasionally with words missing. Any way I can fix this? I just got the phone about a month ago.

The 2 people it happens to, is it every text they get or just from you?

Who is their provider?

As far as I know, it only happens to texts sent by me. I have Verizon. One of the people receiving the texts has Verizon, but I'm not sure about the other.

Oh, and I was incorrect about words being missing. A single text is being sent as multiple texts, and sometimes in the incorrect order.

Here's a comparison of the same text. The first picture is what I see when I send texts. The second is what the person receiving the text sees. As you can see, the first text I send is divided and out of order. The second text is just divided.

The person getting the split text messages may want to go into settings, application manager, all and delete their messaging apps cache and data and restart their device. Also make sure via the Google play store that their message app is up to date.

If they have text message threads they want to keep, back those up first.

We know the importance of having your text messages sending properly! Thanks for the screenshots. When did this issue start with these two people? Do you have a signature on your text message? Does it happen only with messages containing emojis? If so, try sending a text message with no icons only text. Keep us posted.

I'm not sure when the problem started as they only mentioned it the day I posted this. I believe it has been going on for a couple of weeks, however, as they've said they've received a few divided texts before. One of them has happened with texts without emojis.

In addition, I have noticed that a few of the divided texts (but not all) have a Uid of "0." (For example, the first text I sent in the screenshot has a normal/long Uid, but the second one has a "0" Uid). I'm not sure what that means, but I thought I'd note it.

Texting is such a nice feature to use! I know I would be lost without it. Are you using the stock messaging app on your phone? Have you tried the Verizon Messages application? Have you tried to completely delete the thread conversation and have your friend do the same? Are you using an app for Emoji’s? Does it happen when you don’t send a text with Emoji’s.
