I'm having a Wi fi problem connecting with my Galaxy 5. Its a new problem, seemed to coincide with my overage of data?
DNSet - Android Apps on Google Play
Many G3 users say this helps with WiFi as for whatever reason the updated makes the wifi antenna not play well with routers with ipv6 enabled or capable.
I just got my droid mini and Verizon claims I have used all data in 3 weeks! That is bull! I use WiFi all the time... Why is a this happening?
My wifi does not even turn on. I can't connect anywhere.

One of our phones is the LG G3. All of a sudden the last two months we have been using a lot of data. This last month we went over on our usage. We pin pointed it to the G3. It will connect to wifi when it wants, and most of the time it just doesn't connect at all. She took it to a Verizon corporate store, and they showed her what apps are using the data, so that must be it! That phone should simply limit the use of the apps that are using up the data! Really? That's the answer to the problem? What BS. I did a search on the date of the upgrade to Lollypop and the data usage for that phone, and guess what I found. Immediately after the upgrade, the data for that phone shot up drastically. We have a Samsung S5 (which had many issues with the first Lollypop upgrade, until the second update was rolled out), and two tablets. We sat down the other night, after I recorded the actual amount of data each had used, and ran all four devices at the same time using data. All connected to the wifi except the G3. And guess what! One of the four used up data.....the G3. We are now 6 days into our monthly allowance, and the tablets have used up 0% data, the S5 has used 1% data, and the G3 has used 14% data. We have already used over 25% of our allotted data for the month. I'm about to make another stop at the corporate store and show them the screen shots of the data usage that all four devices have used, along with the screen shots of the the increase in data on that phone immediately after the upgrade, and the date of the upgrade. Verizon needs to acknowledge the issues that they are having with the upgrades to all the devices that they sell, and stand behind their product and their upgrades. They need to do more research before sending out these upgrades. It's causing a lot of issues and their answer to the problem is to have you purchase more data. I will admit, I was able to upgrade data by 1 GB with another plan which actually is giving me a reduction on my monthly bill, however since the start of my new billing cycle, the increase in data that the G3 is producing is going to make me increase my data plan before the end of this cycle, which will at this point cost me more each month. I'll look to go to another company if I don't get any satisfaction soon!
Thanks Snn5. I'll give this a try first!
My WiFi does not even work.
jenelly5,
It's crucial that you have a device working the way that it should! Help is here and I'm confident we can find a solution. Let's try a few things. Can you go into your settings under wi-fi and select the settings button in the top right hand corner (three dots). Then select advanced wi-fi. From there is keep wi-fi on when screen is off turned on? How about avoid bad wi-fi connections?

That did not work. Did Verizon automatically turn it off if I reached my
data limit? I went into my account and retroactively paid for another g I
g, but that shouldn't affect the wifi, should it?
