Droid X vs. Incredible

Sure, I know the ifferences in Specifications between the two but as a person who needs a new phone, looking for a Smartphone for the first time, is eligible for New Every Two I am trying to decide. I can obviously with the online discount and NET can get the Incredible for $99. I am wondering if I will be able under those circumstances to also get the X for $99... If so, should I go with the X?

I'd be obviously using it for Phone and Text, social media, streaming radio and video (MLB At Bat)... Opinions?

It really comes down to screen size. I mean, unless you are really into streaming things in HDMI from your phone all the time, the extra features are pretty irrelevant. As others have said, if you use it as a phone a lot, then the Incredible will likely be a better fit. However, if you really want that extra 0.2" then go with the the X.

Specs are better on the X. But marginally.

Price is the price. What you want to spend?

I think the Incredible is awesome, but then again its 3 months old now and time to slide over to newer and better. Both phones are nice.

I'm waiting for winter selections.

Well, I am going wait until I'm back from vacation at the end of July so it will give a chance to read some user reviews for the X...

Since I am eligible for the NE2 right now, I can get the Incredible for $99 online through VZW. I am hoping for a similar scenario with the X...

The X will also be $99. If you buy online. In stores it will be $199 but you will be able to get the $100 rebate.

DROID X has slightly better Stats. HD video capture is a cool feature and HDMI out is also. Incredible has RCA outs but the cable has yet to surface even. As to the HDMI being worth anything or not, think of this in a couple of months this will have Froyo with Flash and that opens up a lot of movie rentals and streaming video in HD. For those of us without a high end computer or top of the line video cards that can be useful. Plug it in or put it in a cradle hook it to the TV and play movies and what not even check e-mail texts whatever else on a large screen. Maybe worth it maybe not that is up to you.

Large screen large form factor light weight decent battery supposedly but I gotta think that on a phone like that 1500Mah battery will need to be replaced. A larger battery will be available that only adds 1mm they say. Incredible also needs a battery also adds 1mm to the phone. Both are cool both are fast one is freaking huge the other is normal sized. The incredible uses sense UI slightly modified but still nice, the x uses Motoblur modified and not quite as obtrusive (apparently even Motorola figured out that blur was an eyesore). My assumption of that is you get some of the added features of blur without all the ugly clunky graphic UI stuff that made it such a uh success (laughs into his sleeve while faking a cough).

The X is built like the Droid so durability favors the Droid X and it'll likely have better call quality since it's Motorola.

they said $299 in store, $199 after the mail in rebate. its $199 online. droid x has a better processor.

So I guess in May 2011 your new toy that you'll get in Winter will be old? These marketers are looking for people like you who'd be buying new phones every 3 months when they're coming out. Remember; there's no such thing as "3 months old". This is a very silly way of thinking. Just because future phones would include the features that the current ones don't have doesn't make the current ones old. Just because the future phones would have such unnecessary features as HDMI outputs, 2Ghz processorsm and HD video recording doesn't make current smartphones any worse.

Remember one more thing; you can't keep up with the technology.
