poor service inside buildings

hello I would like to know this I work inside a building that I cant get any Verizon Prepaid service I have to go outside to make and receive calls and when I am inside I get the 1x on my phone and 3G comes up now and again but the 1x always comes on when I am inside there are antennas all over the building but there not Verizon there sorry to say this but there ATT antennas anyone who has ATT cellular service there phones work great inside the building i work in but Verizon not to great inside what could be causing this problem and when I am not there my prepaid service works great and when I am outside the building my prepaid service works great what could be causing this problem and what causes the 1x to pop up every so often also when I am away from this building and I am other places I also get the 1x btw I have a Moto G prepaid

It's very normal for signal levels to drop when in a building, underground or in a high-rise building. The building your in has good shielding because of metal and other materials, that is why the antennas.

Yes, buildings and the path between you and the tower(s) can affect reception / signal strength. The Moto G is not a 4GLTE device is it? It's possible in your area, maybe the 3G service is weak or the tower's bandwidth is generally exhausted by other users. You might want to call VZW and ask if there is a trouble ticket for the towers in that zip code.

If other VZW customers in your building, perhaps standing next to you have something other than 1X, it's possible your device is simply not working properly. Maybe you need a new SIM card, or your account reset.

First thing to try, power down your phone, then I think your SIM card is underneath the battery/back cover (look at your manual). You could remove it for 5 min, re-insert it, then power back up. See if that improves reception to 3G. Do the experiment with a friend standing next to you. What is their VZW device receiving in the building? Call VZW and ask them to check your account. Maybe a new SIM card is in order, which you should be able to get at a CORPORATE VZW store.

am very upset that I pay 10 bucks for insurance then 150 dollars for a,refurbished phone that has already messed up again. It took me 3 days to set this phone back up the way I had it and now I will get to do it again. Both verzion and asurion was super nice and said I need to call from,another phone to troubleshoot. This is fine except it will only let me get into the phone after about 50 tries, then it takes me its 10 times to hit all the numbers and buttons they want if it lets me at all. Then after I jump through those hoops all they will do is send me another refurbished phone. Why in the world pay 150 or so a year then pay 150 again for a phone that still dont work. I am a super nice person and I cant call and be hateful or rude but sometimes it seems like the squeaky wheel gets the oil. My friend calls and pitches a fit all the time and his dad and his bill together are way cheaper than mine with a bigger data package on both. I dont want to be that way. I pay my bills and pay them on time and never complain. I dont think asking for a new phone that works is too much to ask.

Of all the replacements I have received, none were new phones. After all, if a refurbished phone is a repaired phone, then your repaired "new" phone would then be a.....?

Well how about sending a refurbished one that actually works.

And yes I know what that would be. What I also know is with all the money this company makes, and all the money we pay on insurance and the 150 that use to be 50. I believe they should be able to give you a new phone or at least one that works.

All of my replacements worked until software updates caused errors again. My deductible is $100. The insurance plans are similar to vzw plans...you get what you signed up for until you either change plans or drop the coverage and re-ad again later. As claims rise and as phone costs rise, insurance rises as well. In fact, My insurance rose $1 two months ago.
