My sound does not work for my text notifications. The icon shows a message but there is no sound. Any ideas? I've checked that notifications are on in the text settings
If you have not already done this also check your Notification volume level under sound settings.

Same is happening to me although mine is usually only for replies to a text. I usually get the sound notification when a new text arrives. This started with the new Android update about a week ago. I started using ChompsSMS (Android app). At least it will usually vibrates when a text reply arrives. The sound is hit and miss... most miss for replies. I've reboot, pulled the battery, etc, but it appears the update is the sole cause. I've seen a couple other people having the same problem since the update, so its not just us. Me: Samsung Note 3
