is it possible to add a line to a family-share plan, using a verizon prepaid phone that is no longer in service, without having to sign a new contract on the added line?
Possibly - how long has the pre-paid phone been put of service? Was it active for at least 6 months on a pre-paid account? The only way to know for sure is to take the phone in and try to set it up on a secondary line; see if it works. Since you are adding a line but using your own equipment (if it works) then there would be no contract, the line would be on a month to month basis.
the phone is fairly new, maybe only a couple of months old. i believe it was purchased at walmart or similar retail outlet.
You can add a line to your account and use your pre pay device, however, the process can not be completed online. You will need to contact our Customer Service department are visit a local Verizon Wireless store to have the line added.
Ok, we know that you can add-a-line with existing equipment, I guess what i want to know is, can you add that line without signing a new contract? p.s. I purchased an LG Chocolate off of ebay, will I be able to use that phone?
