Absolute disaster. Next choice is Apple or back to the dinosaur days and a basic call /text phone. I'm pretty sure I'm out of my mind when I pay $150 a month for SYSTEM changes forced upon me on MY bought and paid phone!

Keep in mind Apple pushes out updates to their phones, too. Quite a few people complain how those updates ruin their phone. Of course there are plenty of people who don't have problems with either Android or Apple updates. Personally, I haven't had any problems with either.
I have a Samsung S4. It isn’t the phone, although it seems to be making changes on its own from time to time. It’s the system upgrade. I don’t want it. It’s much harder to read so now I have to find a way to reset the font, etc. to where I can see and find everything. (Please don’t suggest a JITTERBUG. I’m not that old yet.)
Why can’t we opt to go back to the system we had? I don’t want to spend my time trying to figure out what I need to do and quite frankly, I don’t want to expend what little brain cells I have left to get it to where it’s easy to use.
Thanks for listening, but I know voicing a complaint is like spitting into the wind.
I have the same S4 and did the update yesterday and it went off without a hitch. What I did first before installing the update was a full factory data reset after backing everything up. Now with the update every facet of the phone is working better than before. Some of the colors I don't like but the performance of the phone is what really counts in the end.
Unfortunately, no one was explicitly told by Google, the OEM, or VZW that an FDR prior to taking the OTA would increase greatly the likelihood of update success. Imagine though if they had how ticked people would be.

You're still new to the Lollipop upgrade. You'll start noticing some odd behaviors I'm sure as you use it more and more. :smileyhappy:
Well, that’s all well and good if that would have been the instructions given beforehand.
Apple has its own problems and is far more limited than 'droid phones in my opinion. "Lollipop SUCKS" just about covers it. Cartoonish colors makes me nauseous to looks at it. Some of my apps disappeared. I used to get a 4G connection from my home but not now. I would roll back to the previous version if I could.
I assume if enough complaints are received the next "update" will fix some of these problems.
I'm sorry, but something as time consuming as that should be entirely up to the individual as to whether they wish to go to all that trouble. Sure, I know lots of people who don't mind or even enjoy that sort of thing. I don't want to be bothered. My phone worked very well, ran smooth and looked the way I liked it. To back up means remembering everything I want to save, finding third party apps for some things, then hoping I didn't forget anything. (I usually do) Then wiping the phone, installing the update, then trying to return everything to the way I had it. No thanks. I'm trying to make a living and my spare time should be my own. I resent the fact that I am forced to accept an update I don't want and then troubleshoot problems I didn't have prior.
I have a galaxy s4. If I take the battery out the phone takes hours to come back on. Even on a full battery. The power button doesn't work anymore. All this started with the upgrade.
Back out lollipop to kit kat
