Just says searching and never loads.
What are you searching? Maps, Google, what exactly? Some apps or pages might not have access to your location. Check settings in Location within the phone's main menu.
Have you tried toggling the GPS off and back on or power cycling the phone, I have seen Google maps get stuck like that at time and usually closing the app and cycling the GPS usually makes it work.
Indoors this may be problematic. How about outside?
For diagnosing GPS issues, I always use the GPS Status Toolkit app from the Playstore.
1). Verify you have Settings | Location set to High Accuracy. I think without it set to High Accuracy, either GPS won't work at all, or the TTFF (Time to first fix) will be excessively long.
2). Verify you have Settings | Date and time set to "Automatic date & time" and "Automatic time zone". Disagreements with you phone's time and network time may make processing the Assisted GPS data problematic.
Download GPS Status and Toolkit. Run it.
Select the wrench at the top of the screen
Perform a Compass Calibration
Perform a Calibration of Pitch and roll
Now select Manage A-GPS state.
Select Reset, then Download
Make sure you are in an area that has unobscured view of the sky.
How many SATs is your phone seeing?
Wait until it obtains a fix. This might take a few minutes.
Subsequent to this, your GPS fixes should be relatively quick.
Sometimes you might have to manage your AGPS state again.
Indoors, your ability to obtain a GPS location lock will greatly improve if you are near a window.
HTH.
