Rate plans

The Verizon rate plans are getting to be obsolete. With Sprint advertising very aggressively I am beginning to think that it might be time for a change. And today I got a mailer from T-Mobile offering 4 lines, unlimited talk, text and data for $100. This is half what Im paying with Verizon. What gives?

If you can get T-Mobile service in your area and you don't mind you probably won't get it in a lot of other areas you may travel then maybe you should go to T-Mobile. Verizon's network is far superior to T-Mobile thus they can charge more. That's what gives.

I went to t-mobile fo a year but came back to verizon. I had unlimited 4G with no data cap and unlimited talk and text for $50 a month. The talk and text were fine all over but the data was not . 3g most places that crawled along and wasn't worth it. My one game app that needs an Internet connection to play quit working over 4G and they couldn't figure out why. When I came back to Verizon my game worked fine over 4g. Mary

I have both verizon and sprint, and sprint 4g came in my area about 7, 8 months ago and is just as good as my verizon. Even while travelling I havent seen anything significant, but then again im usually driving so I dont check my connection on the road. You have to do what works for you and if saving money for similar service is worth it, do it. Every company has a return period so do it up!

You do realize you must still pay for the phones at an average of $25/month per phone. And that offer does expire and go back to regular price.

Go with T-Mobile if like poor coverage. Go with Sprint if you want substandard service. Ask any technophile and they will tell you the same things.

Also the 4 line for $100 rate plan is for 2.5 GB each not unlimited. You get 2.5 GB of 4G data then "unlimited" dial-up speed data. You get unlimited 4G if you have 2 lines for $100. And that 4 line plan back reverts back to 1 GB each on Jan 2nd 2016. As has been said you also have to pay for the devices. And your typical $600 device is going out be $25 a month. IF you can make payments. If you credit history is iffy you have to pay it all upfront. And in the end you have T-Mobile shoddy network to deal with. Your unlimited data doesn't apply to roaming.
