Dropped calls/intermittent temporary loss of service

My family has been a long time customer of Verizon for both home and business needs. One of the perks is great cell signal coverage.

A few weeks ago we started getting dropped

calls, on both a Galaxy S4 and S5, while at home and more often than not while in a stationary place in our house.

We will be talking, and the call will just disconnect. The bars will disappear (service lost) for a few minutes before it returns and we can reconnect the call that was lost.

First, make sure Advanced Calling is disabled on all phones.  This might help with holding a call from dropping.  Try to switch from Global to LTE/CDMA in Network Settings in menu-settings.  Lastly, it may be that service has changed, namely the direction of signal to more populated areas near you.
