2 year contract phones too expensive

I recently obtained my husband & I .2 year contracts phones . My bill is doubled what I thought it would be! I have several health issues and thought this would be a smarter way to get us both reliable phones at a reasonable price. However this is not working can I change to the edge plan or prepaid program without major termination fees? We love the phones and would love to continue service with them. We just want to be able to manage our service plan. My husband is the main income and we need a more reliable rate!! Please help! I do not want to leave verizon!

What plan are you now on?

You have 14 days to return the phones and cancel or change service with a restocking fee per device.

If after 14 days, you cannot change to Edge or Prepaid. If you cancel at this time you have $350 per device termination fee.

I might suggest, after knowing what plan you are now on, some changes that might lower the bill, namely reducing the data allotment. Since each line is $40 for access and cannot be changed or lowered, you can cut any add-on features that add to the cost or lower the data allotment to lower the bill. However, deciding this is based on the plan you currently have.

So there is no other plan like the edge or prepaid we can switch over to with the same phones? We would still have to pay the ETF.?

Yes, correct. No other plan to change to since you signed a 2 year contract for whatever (you still haven't said) plan you are on now. Edge is not a contract, prepaid is not a contract, single line plans are on contract but will cost you more most likely. Right now, all you can really do, if you are on the More Everything plan, is to lower the data amount provided there are no other discounts like employee discounts.

Keep in mind, this WILL increase your bill, but might help you save money on overages.
