HTC One (M8) work with a non Verizon SIM - bugs

I bought HTC One (M8) outside of North America without knowing it's a Verizon smartphone.

I use it in a GSM / Edge / HSPA network but I have the following bug:

When I try to enable the Hotspot feature the phone says that a Verizon Wireless LTE SIM card is not detected, so the feature is unavailable. The same goes with sharing the cellular internet by cable feature.

BTW HTC support referred me to Verizon.

Please advise.

TThis wouldn't be the place to get an answer for that. This isn't tech support. They have a customer service number 8009220204. It is my understanding that feature will not work with out their network sim though.
