Samsung s4 update

I completed a system update last week on my s4. Since then I am constantly losing cell service and have to restart my device to get any service. Verizon is the only reliable service where I live. Need some suggestions for what to do. Don't want to reset if I don't have to... planning on updating in next month or so

You have reached the right place for assistance, mtanner24! We will do all that we can without you having to reset your device. Software updates should improve your phones functionality not make you lose service. What zip code are you having issues in? What services are being interrupted, voice, data, text or all the above? Is anyone else having the same issue? Try powering your device off and briefly removing the sim card to soft reset your device.

My zip code is 62570. My husband has an iPhone and is not having these

issues. I tried the soft reset and it worked for about 15 minutes.

It is the horrible Lollipop update. Our phones are almost useless because of this. Battery drains extremely fast (like lose 10% every 30 mins)...unable to send or receive texts..and then randomly it might work for very short time.
