Since Lollipop update, LED light for messages do not show

Hello, I use the Messages App installed on the phone and I do not get the blue notification light that I received a message. How do I fix this?

I appreciate you providing this information. Does the LED light up when you receive other notifications? If you go to Settings>Display>LED notification which options are selected?
