Samsung S4 not sending text

I have a Samsung S4 on Lollipop. I am having problems with senting text. This has happened when I have had a couple of bars and even on a network extender. I have rebooted my phone to see if it will fix the issue but it doesn't. I do not have any other texting apps on my phone. I also had this issue before it was updated to Lollipop.

Since you had this problem before the update, I would try to remove your sim card and put it back in. If that doesn't work verizon corporate will give you a new one if you go into the store.

So, if my messages send sometimes but not all the time it could be the SIM card? Like right now they are going through like a charm but then later it will probably not send and it gets frustrating because the other person texting me will keep sending text thinking I'm not responding.

Yes, the sim card is what connects you to Verizon services. For instance an unlocked phone means you could take your sim card out of your phone and put in a friends at&t sim card and it would work. If the sim card is faulty it could be why you're having issues.

It could also be location though, is it ONLY while at home or work etc?

It happens when I'm at home on a network extender and when I'm in other locations. I haven't had it happen at work yet. I have also checked with my son who has a Samsung S5 and he has no problems sending text from home or anywhere else.
