I recently ordered a phone and when I received my email the amount was different and I got confused and assumed that I made an error with my purchase. I reordered the same phone thinking that it would fix it and I would cancel the wrong one. I immediately called to get things straightened out and to cancel the second phone. I was told it was cancelled then the next day I received an email informing me both phones shipped. I immediately called and had the one phone reversed back to their facility. I thought that was the end of it. Unfortunately, Verizon is still trying to charge me for a phantom phone and phone line. The second phone wasn't even delivered, the tracking information shows it was signed for by someone at their Texas facility and was told this was cancelled for a 3rd time. I'm now being charged for 4 phone lines when I only have 3 phones!! I have numerous chat transcripts, phone recordings, and screen shots to protect myself because this has been so insanely poorly handled, I felt the need to protect myself in anyway possible out of fear they will keep trying to charge me for a phone & phone line that I do not have nor want. I've spoken with management who promised it would be handled yet never got back to me and am just absolutely surprised at how this has been handled. The last time I spoke with someone to clarify that I had proof that the phone was returned and he acknowledged it, said it would be 4-6 weeks before they got around to reversing it. Now I'm receiving letters confirming the 4th phone and phone line and the cost of the phone. They are still trying to charge me for this second phone even though it was returned. I do not have the phone. This is the worst dealing with a company I have ever encountered. If I wasn't in a new contract I would have left after the first 6 hours I had to devote to getting this issue fixed. Why is this so difficult for Verizon to manage? Cancel the phone that was returned and never received, remove this 4th line off of my account!! Enough is enough.
Has anyone else been through something so insane?
