Eris, Android 2.1----Gmail not pushing to phone

Yesterday I did not get one notification that I had received any email in my GMail account on my phone. When I logged into my computer I had 12 emails.

From my phone I had to manually refresh gmail to get my notifications. It is set to notify me. It is set to sync. I have not changed any setting on the phone, it just stopped....

Anyone having the same problem?

Try going into your Settings > Accounts & Sync, to manage how long it takes to sync with gmail.

If that doesn't work, try clearing gmail and reestablishing the account.

1. Go into your phone settings

2. Application Settings

3. Manage Application

4. Gmail Storage

5. Clear Data

Once you sign back into Gmail, wait for it to sync back up. Let me know if that works for you.

Yes,

I am having the same problem since Friday. I have tried several things including checking the settings of my email account via the gmail settings webpage. NO lUCK! :-((

Today I sent a message to gmail help desk asking for assistance, no reply yet.

The only way to do that is to re-set the entire phone to factory default, thereby losing all your personal info. Are there any other options?

I would like to see if we can try and narrow it down to just the gmail notification. If you have another email, setup it on the phone and see if notifications come up. If not try dialing *228 to update the phone.

**Also if you have a task killer appliation, make sure that the gmail application is in the ignore list.

well i tried all of these things and nothing SOOOOO....I exported my contacts to my microSD and hard reset. NOW i LOVE my phone again. Best thing I could have done. NO problems with ANYTHING!!
