Auto Edge Discount

Question

I have 4 phones on my line grand fathered from the very old plan they have family shared. My iPhone 5 ended the 2 years deal 5 months ago. So technically I can get a new phone at discounted rate.

If I don't get a new phone at discounted rate and switch over to the Verizon Everything Plan, technically wouldn't that iphone be counted as I brought my own phone and not get one provided by VZW. So I should be getting the edge discount right?

You would think so, but greedy VZW as they are, that is not the case. They show absolutely no loyalty to customers whom been with them since AirTouch days.

You get the Edge discount if your on the Edge payment plan. You can only be on the Edge payment plan if you're buying a phone through Edge. I you already paid for your phone in full why do you want a payment plan?

I believe what you are asking for is the month2month discount which for people that are off contract. All you have to do is sign into My Verizon and activate the discount under Change Features. Of course you have to be on the More Everything plans to qualify.
