I want to be able to save a backup copy of my texts and have access to them. I can't see how to do that. Please advise
If you have an Android SMS Backup + - Android Apps on Google Play is a great option, it backs your text messages, pictures and videos all to gmail with a label so they are nicely tucked away unless you want to look at them.
Use an SMS backup app.
