LG G2 battery life

I have a LG G2 and since the update the battery life is between 4 and 6 hours of light use, before update it would go 16 hours easy. I installed a battery app and temps are constantly between 90 and 105 degrees, this NEVER happen before this update. I have had this update for 4 weeks, and the idea of the phone getting use to the update is not working. Is there any way to go back to an older program on this phone.

Maybe I can explain a little bit. Apps on KitKat ran with a different set of runtime codes. KK used DAVLIK and Lollipop uses ART. So, basically what you have is an older runtime being replaced by a newer runtime. When the G2, and other phones, were updated to LP, it is quite possible that some apps already on the phone were not properly optimized to run in ART. This means that apps might fail, continue running in the background, or generally have mishaps. The safest thing to do, especially if you have other issues is to go here Getting tired of Verizon and take a look at post #8. This process will start you fresh and when you download your apps again they should be already optimized for your phone and OS version.

That did the trick, I follow your instructions and the battery hasn't died yet (going on 18 hours now) and after loading the apps one at a time they have not locked-up like in the past. I'm going to let it drain down till it shuts off and then recharge.

So I have the same exact problem with my g2. Except I am losing battery life without any installed apps!! I've factory reset 3 times! I've restored, I've tried starting fresh and reloading apps one at a time, and now I'm on . Completely clean phone with latest lolipop update and it's been 4 weeks and I have to put it on battery saver just to make it lady half a day!!! It constantly heats up on my pocket with no use and I've restarted it, I've cleared out anything in memory, and it shows Google services, play store being the biggest battery eaters. This forced update is ridiculous,c and Verizon just said to wait for a fix. Wow. Thanks...

For some reason I'm only getting about 120 hours of use on my LG G2 between charges. Anybody know how I can make it last longer?

Mine does the same if I never use it and turn it off at night. The stats don't reset until the charger is put on it. But at 8% avg per 3 hours, that's 35-40 hours.

I was just being goofy, but I really never turn my phone off. I just haven't used mine much this week. With normal use I'm still averaging about 72 hours. I leave my wifi on 24/7 and everything.

Best to reboot at least once a day. Keeps the apps up to date and prevents run away apps.
