I have over 600 emails on my phone. I NEVER use email on my phone. How do I delete the messages I have. How do I turn OFF email??
Turn off the email sync. If its a non Gmail accuont then remove the account from the phone.
In the settings app, go to accounts, select email, select the account, press the three dot menu button and choose remove account. In the case that it is your gmail account, which you will need connected to your phone to use the play store, you can go into the gmail account (same place) and select it, then scroll down to gmail and turn off the sync there. Then go to apps in the settings, scroll to the all tab, find and select gmail, then choose clear data. This will remove all emails from the gmail app.
