Phone running VERY slowly

Since receiving the Eris update, the "phone" portion of my Droid has been running painfully slow. The touch screen is very slow to respond and I have missed several calls while attempting to answer the phone. It worked great before the update...any suggestions?

There have been quite a few issues going on since the update. Do you happen to have a lot of apps on the phone? I've heard task killer helps

Thanks...I didn't think I had a lot of apps but I'll go in and remove what I'm not using. I'll try anything. This is very frustrating.

I've been having this problem too since the update. I have the same apps as before so that shouldnt be the issue. Its so hard to make a call sometimes I just give up. I hope I never have to make a 911 call! Verizon really needs to fix this issue. If this phone had been this bad when I bought it I would have returned it. Unfortunately, I've had it for 4 months now so I'm stuck.
