LG G3 voicemail notification won't go away

I got 2 voicemails, I checked them, but the notification stayed stuck on my drop down menu. Next day I got 2 more voicemails, but the notification is still there. Yes, I turned my device off and on again. I listened to the messages and deleted all 4 of them. HELP it's annoying

Try powering your phone off, briefly removing your sim card, place sim card in and power your phone on.
