Who else hates that they do this? They install mass amounts of bloatware and then make it impossible to unlock your phone to install a clean android rom. Shame, shame, shame (ding ding ding)
Verizon doesn't install anything. The manufacturer installs the software and locks the boot loaders at Verizons request.
This does not mean that all non carrier versions have unlocked bootloader.
Most of the bloatware is not carrier related and not at Verizon's request. Some can be uninstalled or disabled.
IF you want to customize, don't by a carrier branded phone.
