Message to [number] failed. Network Problem

Every time I message my wife I get a message to myself "Message to [her number] failed: Network Problem" This only happens when sending to her number through Verizon's text message application, and not other users. She is also on my plan. This occurs when either on Wifi or on 4G. I have reset the application, and the phone multiple times. It is only to her, and occurs for every message. The messages are also received by her. This has been occurring for about 4 days now. This didn't happen before then, but have only had the phone less than 2 weeks.

I have seen multiple people have this issue, but have not seen a proper resolution. It is a verizon app so i cannot uninstall/re-install which would be my normal goto approach. Also with the new Note 5/Lollipop operating system I don't know how to reset the cache/saved options on the application either.

I cleared the cache via the Clear Individual App Cache instructions, it didn't work. I then cleared All App Cache and restarted the app with no luck.

I then did the "Clear Data" which required me to accepts the Terms and Conditions again (twice) with no luck either.

I also deleted my wife's contact. her original number was +1 [number], which i just changed to [number] without the +1. This also made no difference.

Anything else that i can try?
