Hi!
I have an upgrade available for my Galaxy S5. I'm on the Verizon Edge program. My problem is my screen is cracked on the top but still works perfectly fine.
Can I still upgrade with a cracked but working screen? Will there be any fees?
Thanks!
breannahenderson,
That stinks to hear about your phone! Under the Edge program, the phone is yours to keep, assuming the full cost of the phone is paid off. If you are processing an Edge Up, the phone does need to be free of any damage when trading it in for Edge Up. If you have insurance on your device, I recommend getting a claim started here www.phoneclaim.com/verizon

There will be a fee. It's $299 if you return a phone not in pristine condition. I suggest you pay off the balance of that phone if you want to "Edge Up." Or do as Verizon suggested and file an Insurance claim (if you have it) though my understanding is that they match numbers from the device you return to confirm you're giving them the EXACT same phone you bought when you started the Edge plan. If you don't, you may still be charged the $299 and then have to fight them to take it off.
