This is my first smartphone, and I'm unsure how things work
October 2016 will be the end of my 2 year contract. If I desire to upgrade my phone, will I be able to do so for free?
Anybody have the answer?

Upgrading is an exciting time and knowing your options is definitely smart. This is a good question and the answer would depend on a couple factors. If you are purchasing the device with a Device Payment plan there would be no upgrade fee, but if upgrading with a 2 year contract/discount there would be a $40.00 upgrade fee.
