Droid Razr Maxx Fast Boot/Device Locked Msg.

My husband's phone started doing this thing a few days ago where it would shut off and come back on repeatedly. It was fine then till today. He got a fast boot message and it said the device is locked. Now it won't power on. No recent damage was done to it, so we aren't sure what caused this or how to fix it. Not sure what the most recent OS is on the phone. His phone isn't eligible for upgrade till next March. So the phone is less than 2 years old.

May I ask what changes were made on the phone a few days ago that may have contributed to this recent issue? For example, was there an app of OS update recently? When attempting to charge the device, do you get any time or electrical feedback? If the device is still not powering on then we need to address this issue first. Please press and hold the volume down buton and the power key together for 12 seconds. This is a soft reset and the device sohuld power up, assuming the battery isn't drained Once you have done so then please update us with the status of the device so we can continue to troubleshoot.
