My verizon wireless voicemail says messages are saved for 21 days. However, my messages are not being deleted after 21 days. Is this something i can fix, or something verizon needs to fix?

At the time of my first post (above), I had 19 messages in my voice mail. I currently have 14 messages, because I deleted some myself. I don't know for sure whether this is a continuous problem, but this was not the first time my voice mail was full because messages weren't deleted after 21 days.
