So I installed the update 12/11 and I have had battery issues since. Spent over an hour with cust support and they kept trying to say it was due to 3rd pty apps or that I have 2 email account, other stupid stuff, etc. Per their request, I restarted in safe mode and recharge to 100% to see if drain was still happening without non essential apps running, and yes, 1.5 hours later I'm down 25 %. That's when they started to pick on my 2 email accts which I have always had (got the phone in April 2015). Told them I did not want to go on that merry go round - how bright is your screen? are you using wifi? So they suggested I go to Samsung techs at best buy....so that will be my next step.
