Prepaid data roaming problem

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy J1 at least a month ago, it's under the Pre-Paid plan, and I've been out and about and I get a Data Roaming notification when I am in certain areas, even though everyone else with phones there can use their data freely. The message reads "You have lost data connectivity because you left your home networking with data roaming turned off.", even though I am in a covered area in the U.S., it is irritating me and I am not sure what the problem is. I am not sure if its part of the Pre-Paid plan but I would like to know what the solution is.

Thanks for reaching out HillKil! I'm not seeing a feature that can bwe adjusted on the J1 to change this. I would recommend reaching out to our prepaid department to check the account. They can be reached at 888-294-6804.
