My Galaxy S5 ran this new update last night and now my phone won't populate my contact list. It has just been saying Updating contact list. It has been this way for the last 10 minutes.
How many contacts do you have? 10 minutes is not that long if you have 1,000's. 10 minutes is a long time if you only have say 2 or 3.
I have maybe about 50. Plus the numbers in my text messages are coming up without the recipient names even though the messages that are listed are from contacts that have been added as favorites.
Do you back up your contacts to the cloud? You can verify they are all still there by going to my verizon>my device>back up my contacts (which will take you to the cloud)
It seems it's now been 20-30 minutes since it started loading them which is a bit longer for 50 contacts.
