My daughter is abroad for a year, if I cancel her Versizon account can she continue to use imessage?
Yes. iMessages are through Apple, not Verizon. If she has an iPhone, iTouch, or iPad, she can continue to use iMessages through wifi and send these to the US and receive from the US for no additional charges.
You will need to iMessage to her iCloud email address and not her Verizon phone number.
