When I receive a call my screen turns black an I am unable to answer it after placing a call I can't end the call either
Usually pressing the power button will turn on the screen to allow you to access the dialer application commands. Does that not work for you?
No it doesn't when in a call
Dace2015, I want to make sure that you can answers any calls that will be coming through without any hassle. When did you notice this started to happen? Have you put a new case or screen protector on the device recently? Also, what make and model device do you have? Please keep us posted.
