Hotspot says "validation error" in Galaxy S5

I purchased unlocked version of galaxy S5. I am Unable to start Samsung inbuilt Mobile Hotspot my galaxy S5, it says validation error.

What is the possible error? How it can be rectified?

I have separate data plan and I wanted to use on my laptop.

Is tethering / hotspot is blocked? if so then why on unlocked version.

We certainly want to make sure everything works awesome on your phone! That's incredibly important. Are you currently using this on the Verizon network? Have you been able to use the hotspot in the past? Wht plan do you have?

Earlier I was not using any Wifi / Hotspot service. I am no longer using

Verizon services.

Since I bought this from Verizon hence contacted Verizon on this Hotspot

issue.

Except Hotspot and USB Tethering everything is working fine.

That certainly all makes sense! The hotspot application on the phone is actually for the Verizon hotspot feature we offer. That often doesn't work with other carriers because it is designed to work with our service. For use on another carrier I would recommend looking into alternative options available on the Play Store or reaching out to your carrier for any options they offer.

In unlock version any software shall not be restricted to one carrier.

I have checked with my current operator and they said Hotspot is the

handset facility and any operator is nothing to take with the manufacturer

inbuilt features.

Is there a patch / update available from Verizon so that I can utilize the

Hotspot / Tethering application as well.
