My phone has decided to reset itself to factory default settings.

I went to unlock my phone after not having used it for several hours and it was at the start screen for set up. I have lost all of my apps, pictures, contacts, etc. I am, quite frankly, pissed! Has anyone else experienced this and what caused it? Also, if this is a security issue, why wouldn't you ask to back up before just restoring. Seriously, I switched to Verizon to avoid this type of mess.

Where did you leave your phone? What sort of screen lock did you have on it?

It was sitting on my desk next to me. I had the pattern security turned on.

The only thing I could think is it had something to do with the security pattern. It usually automatically sets that if you try your password 5x and don't get it right that it factory resets. Not saying you did it, but perhaps it was a glitch or should someone else live with you then perhaps them etc.
