i lost my droid Razr Maxx XT1080 Aug 21, 2015 and wasn't aware of some of the feature to locate it so I had that phone deactivated and activated an old phone. If there still a way to locate the phone even though it's not on or active?

Losing a phone is a terrible feeling. I have been there before. Most of the apps used to track a lost/stolen phone to require the phone to be powered on in order to get the location services. What feature did you use to locate it?

If the phone is still on, you can locate it using Android Device Manager in your Google account homepage, or by doing a search for it online. If the phone is off, ADM may tell you the last time it was on and where.
