So ... last month I was about to be way over the 1G data allowance on my plan so there were overage charges coming, so I went to change my plan to the 3G amount ... three or four days before the billing period end .. easy ... plan changed. I have made a much better job of managing data since then, and this month I am barely over 600meg of data, so I went to the store to change my plan back to 1G -- benefit to me is to save a few $ because don't need the 3G at $45 when the 1G at $30 is enough ------ but guess what - even though the site says you can change your plan at ANY time, you can't. I can't change my plan until December 5th (new billing cycle begins) which is total B.S. ... and here's the back story .. been a customer for about 15 or more years, probably paid Verizon $25,000 or more in that time, but Verizon, in its desire to screw as much money as it can from its subscribers, wants to gouge me for the extra $15 ... the rep, who represented Verizon VERY poorly, said he couldn't go back to the beginning of the billing month because it would create overages (??? makes no sense at all). Verizon, this is just another example of your standard of gouging of your customer base -- just like the inexcusable $30 (or thereabouts) re-activation fee when you change to a new phone at the end of your plan commitment. I absolutely expect that you stand up to your statement on the website that you can change sizes AT ANY TIME ... it appears on at least a couple of places on the site .... or am I to believe that the unwritten rule is that you can change your plan at any time IF you are paying Verizon MORE but you can't change your plan at any time if you are paying Verizon LESS ... and don't forget that I have already paid for 15 or so years and probably $25k, and, right now, absent the ability to change my plan as I want to, at ANY TIME, Verizon is in danger of losing this customer. I have a couple of very acceptable alternatives. I would hope that 15, maybe more. years of loyalty counts for something ......
Such poor regard for your customers, such unreasonable policies, and such little regard for the promises you make on your website.
... so Verizon, please effect a change in my plan as I have requested.
